Laura Hickman

I am open-minded, genuine and straightforward, I accept and embrace the person in front of me. This acceptance allows you a place to be you and be heard, whatever you may bring. I offer a confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings allowing new perspectives on issues where you may have found yourself stuck, perhaps feeling like you’re going round in circles. I've supported clients through a broad spectrum of challenges, including communication, couple dynamics, trauma and external factors affecting relationship satisfaction. This has included navigating complex issues such as grief, neurodiversity, sexuality, workplace stressors and power dynamics within relationships.

My approach

I am a Masters trained integrative relationship therapist. As a therapist, I encourage clients to explore the rich tapestry of their inner worlds, rediscovering skills that may have been buried by life’s challenges and developing new ones. Together, we delve into their family systems, relationships, and behaviour patterns, helping clients gain deeper self-awareness and find a happier way forward toward a more fulfilling life.

Where it all started

My journey into counselling started early, as I supported my neurodivergent sister growing up. Over time, I realised how much joy I found in listening to people’s stories. Later in life, I decided to retrain and follow my true passion listening to and supporting others.
