My Approach
I work with relationship problems, distress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and grief. It is important for me to ensure that I provide a safe and non judgemental space where clients can share their problems . Whether working with individuals or couples, I am skilled in a wide range of theoretical models. As an integrative pracititioner, I aim to draw on these different approaches to create a tailored approach that will meet the different needs and styles of my clients. I also offer psychosexual therapy.
Where It All Started
After a long career working in health care settings including Barnsley Hospice, I decided to train as a counsellor because I'm passionate about supporting people through difficult times. I have previously worked as a nurse in End of Life Care. From early in my nursing career, I realised that counselling was something I wanted to do when my nursing career eventually came to a close.
