Gaining a different perspective
“The sessions I had were fantastic and I feel a lot better in myself. The counselling sessions were so helpful for giving me space and time to vent so many emotions and put into perspective some irrational worries/fears that had spiralled amidst a huge amount of prolonged stress at work.
Gill provided a calm and kind environment and I felt able to talk about things without judgement. Talking about my feelings and experiences has definitely helped me to accept and understand things that happened in a past relationship and stressful experiences at work. Gill was able to help me see things from different perspectives, both from the two sessions I had and also the CBT help sheets emailed through.
As a result, I feel back to my usual self and feeling more confident, happy and relaxed again. Reflecting on my experiences and confronting difficult feelings has helped me to see things in new ways. I feel comfortable dating now and less apprehensive of entering a new relationship. I have also since got a new job and looking forward to trying something new and prioritising work-life balance and my wellbeing at work.
