My Approach
My aim is to provide a safe and welcoming approach to counselling. I offer a friendly and compassionate place to explore your feelings without judgement, in a warm, practical and down to earth manner.
I understand that it can be difficult to discuss and understand some feelings, and these may be overwhelming and confusing. I can help you to bring clarity to a situation and move forward with confidence. I can help you address issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma and bereavement. Working with couples or individuals, I can help you find new perspectives on conflicts or tensions in relationships.
Having extensive training in counselling and a MSc in Developmental Psychology, I ensure my training and knowledge is constantly growing to benefit my clients.
Where it all started
My previous work history was as a Personnel Manager. I had a keen interest in people and found that this was what I enjoyed the most; helping others. It was a natural progression and I have enjoyed meeting, helping and empowering people from a wide range of backgrounds.
"I feel I’ve overcome something that I was I wasn’t able to get through before and I am deeply grateful for the words of help and encouragement that my counsellor (Lyndsey) provided.”
